23 For they, too, built for themselves (A)high places, (B)memorial stones, and [a](C)Asherim on every high hill and (D)under every luxuriant tree. 24 There were also (E)male cult prostitutes in the land. They committed [b]all the same abominations of the nations which the Lord dispossessed before the sons of Israel.

25 (F)Now it happened in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, that Shishak the king of Egypt marched against Jerusalem.
